The purpose of Capital Region BOCES’ Substitute Coordination Service is to centralize the process of substitute placements for teachers. Using a single centralized process will streamline the substitute payroll, create a reporting system to analyze real-time absence reports, and allow substitutes to proactively "shop" for available jobs District-wide.

The Substitute Coordination Service will also require that teachers submit their own leave time. 

All schools must use The Substitute Coordination Service for reporting absences for teachers.
