ALGEBRA

(1 CREDIT)

The fundamental purpose of this course is to formalize and extend the mathematics that the students learned in the middle school. There is a focus on real-life applications and word problems that require a high reading level.This course is designed to prepare students for the Algebra Regents exam in June. Topics of this course include: solving equations and inequalities; systems of equations and inequalities; polynomials; factoring; statistical regressions; linear, exponential, and quadratic models.
