ELOPEMENT

Students who have a tendency to elope from the building should have a safety plan developed.  This may be in combination with an ICMP (Individual Crisis Management Plan), an IEP or a Behavior Intervention Plan.  Parents should be involved in the development of this plan and it should be communicated to all necessary stakeholders.  In some cases door alarms may need to be installed.
