JUDICIAL SUBPOENAS
All Subpoenas (Judicial and/or Duces Tecum) for student records must be submitted to the Office of Student Support Services. They should be scanned to Theresa Ravas immediately upon receipt and further clarification from our legal team will be sought out by the Assistant Superintendent of Student Support Services, if necessary. Building staff and administrators should never communicate directly with attorneys unless our school attorney advises on the matter first. Letters should never be sent to attorneys upon parent request. If any parent asks an administrator or teacher to write a letter on their behalf to express their opinion on a matter, they should refer them to the Office of Student Support Services.
Release of Information Concerning Current Employees
All steps should be taken to protect the privacy of the employees of the District.
The District shall not release information to third parties concerning the employment records, personnel file or past performance of a current employee, unless such information is required to be disclosed by law. Only the initial dates of employment, current salary and the position held shall be provided through a written response to a written request. Current employees may authorize the release of any additional information in writing.
