Rising 3rd through 5th grade students in the Schenectady Summer Theatre Camp are excited to announce their performance of Swamped the musical on Friday, August 2nd, at 7:00pm in the William W. Ziskin Black Box Theater at Schenectady High School.


New York State School Boards Association recently hosted the Leadership in Education Event. SCSD Board President Rivera, Superintendent Cotto and SHS students Joyce Akhelumele, Nayda Fernandez, Jahnyce Sotomayor spoke during a panel discussion about amplifying student voice.

Ashiya Reaster, an SHS senior, enjoys learning in the BOCES Cosmetology Program. “Every day we do something different here. It’s a new experience and that makes learning fun,” said Ashiya. She is preparing for a career in cosmetology.
