👹 Monster Party with SHS students and their art class buddies from Keane & Lincoln. After reading “I Need My Monster” each 1st grade student created and colored their own custom monster. SHS Ceramics classes created the monsters as clay sculptures for their buddy to keep.📸
The Lincoln ES Student Council took a field trip to the Animal Protective Foundation (APF) Wednesday. Students enjoyed visiting and reading to their new furry friends.

More than 100 SHS seniors attended the hiring fair today at the high school. There were 20 businesses on hand. Thank you to Schenectady Connects for helping students prepare. It was awesome to see some of our former graduates representing visiting businesses.
A special plaque rededication ceremony will be held today at 5:30 p.m. at Mont Pleasant. Join us as we honor, rededicate and hand the plaque in honor of the Mont Pleasant 86 graduates who died in World War II.

Many students attended the restorative Practice Empowerment Retreat at Union College this week! Making the shift from engagement to empowerment.
Students from Oneida had a great time at the Dinos Alive: An Immersive Experience. They explored the exhibit through the lens of a paleontologist, took field notes, learned about the Jurassic era , walked alongside the life-sized replicas of creatures & participated in VR.
REMINDER: Tonight at 5:30 p.m. is the plaque ceremony and rededication in honor of the 86 Mont Pleasant graduates who died in World War II. The ceremony will be held at Mont Pleasant Middle School. Everyone is invited.
We had a great time at the Family Literacy Saturday last weekend at the FACE Center. Thanks to all the parents that joined us for breakfast and some literacy fun.
Seven members of the Sch'dy/Mohon Lacrosse team received 1st and 2nd Team league honors. Congrats to SHS sophomore defensive midfield Joe Hargraves (#6) & SHS sophomore defenseman Marcus Williams (#25). They were both named to the 2nd team!
Girls Day Out: A special day of motivation, inspiration, support, mentorship, and education. Dr. Cotto and Board President Rivera were on hand to share a few words and let the girls know they are always supported.
