Before heading to spring recess, Zoller kindergarteners and 5th graders had a great time participating in the Schoolyard Sugaring Program. Over a period of eight weeks, sap was collected from maple trees on campus and the SICM Schenectady Urban Farm Vale site. The sap was boiled and filtered into 3 gallons of delicious maple syrup which was served with pancakes.
