Attention Families 📢‼️ Walk & Roll is TOMORROW, 10/14- in order for all students to participate (we understand not all students are able to walk/ride their bike/scooter), parent drop-offs will be in the Walt Whitman Parking lot! Staff will be there to greet your child and they will walk on the sidewalk and enter through the front door so they can participate! 🚶🏿♀️🚶🏾♂️
If your child is dropped off after 7:45 please go directly to the bus loop.
Students who ride the bus will be dropped off in the Consaul parking lot and walk around to the front of the building to enter. Staff will be present to assist.
Pick-up will stay as is. No changes.

Paige Elementary is having a Walk & Roll to School Day 🚲 TOMORROW Friday, October 14th!
What does Walk & Roll to School Mean?
Walk: Use your feet to walk to school! 🚶🏽♂️🚶🏾♂️🚶♀️🚶🏿♀️🚶🏿♂️🚶🏼♂️
Roll: Typically includes human-powered things on wheels such as bikes and scooters 🚲 🛴 🚴🏾🚴🏿♀️
Why Walk or Roll to School?
It’s fun! Remember the thrill of riding a bike for the first time or walking or rolling to school? There’s a feeling of joy and independence—a sense of adventure—that doesn’t fade. Of course, there are many other benefits to walking and biking to school too!
Walk & Roll to School Day will also teach students about the health and environmental benefits of walking and biking. Some of these benefits include keeping young people healthy and strong as well as teaching them how to safely navigate streets in their neighborhood. Quality time with parents and friends can boost mood and connection as they travel to and from school! ❤️ Plus, research has shown that morning activity can help students do better in school. 🏫 ✏️
On 10/14, if your child is unable to walk or roll 🚲 🚶🏽♂️to school and they must take the bus 🚌, they will participate on our school grounds when they arrive to Paige! 🐼
Schenectady PD 🚓 will have patrol driving through the Walk and Roll route to ensure safety!
There are parent volunteers that will be present at the two route locations to assist with the walking/biking routes!

On 10/19, Paige will be wearing Orange for #UnityDay! We wear and share orange to show unity for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion and to send a visible message that no child should ever experience bullying. Each class will be participating in an activity about Unity Day and the importance of being kind! 🫶🏾

Mawlid al-Nabi, Arabic for the "birthday of the prophet", marks the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad’s birth. Mawlid begins tonight, Friday, October 7th and ends the evening of Saturday, October 8th.
