Good afternoon, Van Corlaer is currently on a lock out/ secure due to police activity in the area. All students are in class and safe. We will let you know when the lock out is released. Student and staff safety is our highest priority.

‼️The Schenectady Police & Fire Departments will be holding the 5th Annual Scare-nectady Haunted Patrol on Thursday, October 24 beginning at 5 p.m. 👀 See flyer for list of stops 🔽 They will be giving candy, coloring books, high visibility bas, & Halloween safety tips. 🎃👻

Good morning Van Fam! Thursday October 10 SICM Mobile Food Truck will be at Van located @ Fulton Elementary from 1:45 pm- 2:45 pm. On the back field by the playground. Please bring your NYS ID if you have never accessed the Food Truck before to be registered.

Happy Sunday Van families! We are looking forward to so many things this week. Tuesday at 6 pm is meet the Teacher night. We look forward to seeing you all there Friday is our first PBIS award ceremony. Due to space this is by invite only if your scholar is getting an award this month, so please keep an eye out for invitations. Our carpool line is moving faster and we thank you for all of your help with this. Later this week, you will notice we will have no access to our playground as they will be installing a new sidewalk for the bus students. This will cut down on the mud and help in the winter 🎉 Have a great week!

Thank you to all the families that participated in Dad's walk your kids to school day! We had 91 families participate this morning with role models ranging from grandparents to siblings, to family friends that play a great role in supporting our young scholars. 🐾
