Van Corlaer Elementary School

Hello, Van Family! Just some updates/reminders about arrival and dismissal at Van this year. All students, except for PreK, will enter through the main doors. Students in grades 1-5 will go straight to their classrooms. Kindergarten students will be brought straight into the gym to line up by class. Kindergarten parents will not be able to accompany their children to the gym, but school staff will be at the door to receive them from you and bring them to the gym. School starts at 7:45. Please do not drop students prior to that time. Students who arrive after 8:00 will be marked tardy The following doors will be used for dismissal. Dismissal will begin at 2:30: PreK - door 3 K - door 5 1- door 3 2 - door 4 3- main door 4 - door 4 5 - main door If you arrive for pick up after 2:40, you will need to come to the front door to pick your child up There will be no pick ups between 2:00 and 2:30 Please reach out if you have any questions! VACCINATION CLINIC Tues. & Thurs. Ellis is hosting a Back-to-School Vaccination Clinic to help children get their school vaccinations. This is a walk-in service. No appointment is needed. Tues., 8/22 and Thurs., 8/24, 4:30 - 8 p.m. Family Health Center, 624 McClellan St.

Since the Air Quality Index has improved and is back in the good (green) range, restrictions have been lifted and students will be allowed to go outdoors.

Correction: Due to poor air quality conditions, all outdoor activities are cancelled today, June 8th. After-school programs will be held indoors. We hope to return to normal operations tomorrow and will update families ASAP

Van Corlaer Parents, for the remainder of this week, all outdoor activities are canceled. due to poor air quality that has been said to be unhealthy. We will not be having the Y family fun night tonight. I am deeply sorry and hope to reschedule some of the events.
